Tottenham coach Martin Jol is being linked with Ajax.
Jol was wooed by the Amsterdam giants a couple of seasons ago but they decided to appoint Ten Cate who had been a coach at Barcelona instead.
The current Ajax boss has yet to confirm he will be heading to Stamford Bridge but Jol will be aware of the situation which offers him a dignified exit from White Hart Lane.
It is has been widely reported that he has agreed a £4million settlement with the Tottenham board, who have courted Seville boss Juande Ramos and former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho since the season began with a 1-0 defeat at Sunderland in August.
