The agent of Ajax Amsterdam striker Mounir El Hamdaoui has claimed he turned down the chance to join Fulham on loan in the winter transfer market.
The 27-year old Morocco international was given the opportunity to reunite with Martin Jol at Craven Cottage late on deadline day but his representative, Sigi Lens, said his client rejected the proposal whilst trying to get a move to Fiorentina.
"At 8:44pm Jeroen Slop (Ajax's finance director) sent me a text message proposing to send the player on a five month loan deal to Fulham, but we were still in Florence and anyway, Mounir said no," Lens revealed.
