Manchester United and Manchester City are in a battle to sign Ajax striker Luis Suarez.
Reports suggest that the Uruguayan will almost certainly be sold as Ajax are currently experiencing financial difficulties and the potential £30million windfall might be too much for manager Martin Jol to resist.
The two Manchester clubs, along with Barcelona and Bayern Munich are said to be interested in 22-year old Suarez who has scored 16 goals in 12 league appearances so far this season.
Dutch journal Voetbal International have reported that Ajax are under financial strain after spending about £130million on players in the past decade but have failed to bring in anywhere near as much indicating that Suarez may be used to cash in.
