Ajax's Blind plays down crisis calls ahead of Celtic clash

Ajax defender Daley Blind has dismissed concerns that the club is currently going through a crisis.

The Dutch giants lost 1-0 to Vitesse Arnhem on the weekend, giving them just one win in their past five outings in call competitions.

Despite that poor run of form, left-back Blind says the team has plenty of confidence going into Wednesday night's Champions League home meeting with Celtic who defeated them 2-1 last month.

"Please don't speak about a crisis because the performance against Vitesse wasn't that bad at all," he said.

"Right now, I don't even want to think about the Champions League or Celtic. Of course we're disappointed but please, let's be clear, there is no crisis at this club."
