Ajax playmaker Siem de Jong is back on the radar of Newcastle United.
The Evening Chronicle says Toon will resurrect their interest in Ajax midfielder De Jong later in the summer - but managing director Lee Charnley must nail down striker targets before getting the green light to secure arrivals in other positions.
De Jong stated at the end of last season: "I really do not know what I'll do next season. I have spoken with the club but nothing is sorted. Also with Newcastle United, where my brother played last time, they have had a little contact with my agent.
"There was contact before, but it's nothing concrete. Newcastle is a great club."
