Ajax have failed with a bid for Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
The Daily Mail says Ajax director of football Marc Overmars has confirmed their bid to sign Van Ginkel on loan has been rejected by Chelsea.
Van Ginkel only joined Chelsea from Vitesse Arnhem earlier in the summer, but Ajax were keen to sign the midfielder as a replacement for Christian Eriksen.
