Liverpool are fielding offers for midfielder Yossi Benayoun.

The Daily Mail says Ajax have joined Tottenham and Portsmouth in trying to sign Benayoun by bidding £5million for the Israel midfielder.

The Amsterdam club have even offered to better Benayoun's £30,000-a-week Anfield terms.

Benayoun said: "I need to know what is going on because I thought I would be at Liverpool next season."
