Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen admits transfer speculation over the summer messed with his mind.

The Belgium international complained at the time over the constant transfer rumours over a move away.

He says: "I know I have played better, but I feel happier than I did last summer. To doubt myself now, would be the worst thing I could do."
