Ajax coach Erik ten Hag has been told a deal for Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic is close to being done.

That's according to De Telegraaf's journalist Mike Verweij.

He revealed: "Tadic has given his word to Ajax, the clubs are almost in agreement, so that deal goes on.

"We have just asked Erik ten Hag about Tadic, he did not really say much, but he also said that he had a call from Marc Overmars and that he was very happy with it.

"He was happy with it, so normally it (negotiations) continues."
