Ajax coach Frank de Boer insists he doesn't envy the spending power of Champions League opponents Manchester City.

De Boer said on Tuesday that the aggregate sum of City's four strikers is higher than Ajax's annual turnover.

He remarked: "We have no money like City so we have to be inventive and we try to use our academy.

"That's how we survive. I like it more that way than just buying players. We have a different philosophy."
