Ajax coach Frank de Boer is desperate not to lose Jasper Cillessen.

The Holland goalkeeper is a target for Manchester United as they prepare to sell David de Gea to Real Madrid.

"I would not want to lose him right now. To find an adequate replacement for him is a hell of a job," said De Boer.

The Ajax boss admits he saw Maarten Stekelenburg as a potential replacement before he joined Southampton.

"We had someone in mind, Maarten Stekelenburg, but who signed elsewhere. I do not want to lose Cillessen."
