Ajax have pulled out of talks for Samuel Eto'o.
The former Chelsea striker has held negotiations with Ajax about a move to Holland, but with no agreement imminent, talks have ended.
"It is the privilege of Eto'o to have to think about his next club, but Ajax will not wait any longer," said director of football Marc Overmars to Voetbal International.
"We have let him know why we've refrained from any further calls."
Everton and Liverpool have also been in extensive talks with Eto'o's camp in recent weeks.
