Ajax are emerging as favourites for Norwegian superkid Martin Odegaard.
The Stromsgodset starlet has been training with Liverpool this past week.
The People says Odegaard, who turns 16 in nine days, can sign his first pro contract on his birthday and a host of Europe's top clubs have been beating a path to his door.
He has spent time with Manchester City and although he is a firm Liverpool fan it is unlikely he will end up in the Premier League.
Odegaard has also been approached by Ajax and the Dutch club are likely to be in pole position to sign the starlet from Stromsgodset with the offer of first-team football.
Neither Manchester City nor Liverpool are able to make the same commitment but with Ajax prepared to blood him in the Eredivisie, they hold the whip hand.
