Ajax boss Martin Jol is closing in on a deal for Real Madrid wing-back Royston Drenthe.
Drenthe is being frozen out of Madrid following new president Florentino Perez's arrival and could be on his way back to Holland.
Ajax are in talks about a 12-month loan deal for Drenthe with the view to a permanent signing.
