Martin Jol admitted this week he still had great admiration for a player he signed for Spurs.

And The Sun says he is ready to rescue Bale from his Tottenham nightmare.

The Dutchman signed Bale for £5million from Southampton in May 2007 during his reign as Spurs boss.

But the Welsh left-back has struggled with injuries and is yet to be on the winning side in the Premier League - despite making 24 appearances for the Londoners.
