New Real Zaragoza coach Javier Aguirre is ready for his debut tonight against Getafe.

Former Mexico coach Aguirre will make his debut in the Zaragoza dugout at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez after this week replacing Jose Aurelio Gay, who was sacked with the Aragonese side rooted to the foot of the Primera Division standings with just one win and seven points to their name.

Aguirre, who has plenty of Primera Division experience having previously been in charge of Osasuna and Atletico Madrid, said: "We will play every game as if it were a final.

"On Monday we will play the first one. I'd like the result of that match to reflect the work that we've done over the last few days and that we are able to pick up some points to help our situation."
