Atletico Madrid coach Javier Aguirre has declared he will remain in charge next season.
With Champions League football now to look forward to, Aguirre said: "I'm staying one more year. I will fulfill my contract.
"In a couple of days, we will be talking about what was done well, poorly and our potential ups and downs. (Sports director) Jesus Garcia Pitarch is now working on the squad for next season."
Asked about interest in Valencia midfielder David Albelda, Aguirre added: "I cannot comment on David. He's a great player, but we still do not know what the team needs. In that position we have Ignacio Camacho and Thiago Motta."
