Sergio Aguero says Carlos Tevez was a big influence on his decision to move Manchester City.

While Aguero has been an instant success, his form and that of fellow striker Edin Dzeko has ironically kept Carlos Tevez on the bench.

But Aguero explained it was Tevez who put aside his own public dislike for Manchester to sell the city to the new recruit.

He said: "Carlos is an important footballer and is very necessary at City. I am confident he will stay with us in this important season.

"I've found life in Manchester very normal with my family, friends, football and a few tourist trips."
