Gabby Agbonlahor's career with Aston Villa appears to be over.
The Sun is reporting that Villa chiefs vow he will not wear the claret and sky blue of the West Midlands club again.
Agbonlahor, 29, rejected a deadline day to Reading but the decision seems to have backfired on him as his career is now left in limbo.
A source told The Sun: "Gabby has condemned himself to spending the next four months in exile, training with the kids.
"It's fair to say the new owner was not impressed by his lack of ambition.
"He is one of the club's highest-paid players and seems content with that.
"Now he must be resigned to never playing for Aston Villa again."
Agbonlahor came through the club's youth ranks, and apart from short loan spells with Watford and Sheffield Wednesday, has spent his entire career at Villa Park.
The former club captain has made 370 appearances for the Villans, scoring 84 goals.
