Delays opening discussions over a new Liverpool contract has defender Daniel Agger admitting that he fears for his Anfield future. The 24 year old first held meetings with Liverpool over a new deal 12 weeks ago but confessed that he has not heard anything back from the club.

"The ball is with Liverpool," Agger told Elkstra Bladet over his contract dispute.

"I haven't heard a sound from the club since the beginning of November.

"There is no reason to set the expectations too high. To be honest, I have no idea if they want to sign a new deal."
