Roma fullback Marco Motta is waiting for Manchester City to make a concrete offer.
Roma sporting director Daniele Prade admitted over the weekend that a loan deal for Motta could be pushed through before the transfer deadline.
Prade added that one possible stumbling block was the fact that Motta is co-owned by Roma and Udinese.
Motta's representative Giuseppe Bozzo concedes that nothing is likely to happen before Roma's Coppa Italia clash with Catania on Tuesday.
"There's a real interest from Manchester City for Motta, but it is premature to talk about it because it is necessary that the three clubs - Udinese, Roma and Manchester City - reach an agreement," Bozzo told romagiallorossa.com.
"I don't think that we can conclude the deal today, and also tomorrow because Roma have a Coppa Italia match.
"We'll see in the next days what will happen."
