John Carew's agent has dismissed reports suggesting the Aston Villa striker could join Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the January transfer window for £5m. Though the 30-year-old's representative Per A. Flod is not ruling out an exit at the end of the campaign, he insists Carew will be staying at Villa Park in the immediate future.
"Something will happen during the summer of 2010, either an extension or a transfer," asserted Flod to Dagbladet.
"John might also play out his contract, but I don't think Villa are interested in that.
"It's no news that Fenerbahce wants John, that has been known for three years now.
"Soon, the rumours about Panathinaikos will reappear too!"
