The agent of Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen says he remains hopeful of joining Tottenham.

Mustapha Nakhli says Spurs remains the priority for the Belgian.

"Jan waits. If everything is OK, he will go to Tottenham," Nakhli told Voetbal International.

"I hope this week it will be OK, I think so. We talk in any case only with Tottenham. Jan has a good feeling. There were other possibilities, but Jan follows his heart."
