Italian agent Sabatino Durante has urged Tottenham to keep hold of midfielder Luka Modric.

Modric has been linked with Inter Milan and Durante told Tuttomercatoweb: "I was the first to talk about Modric going to a great club and now it is obvious that after having participated in the Euros and having done well for Tottenham his suitors have increased.

"I think that Tottenham should keep him, because it is an ambitious club and paid a lot of money to secure him to a long-term contract. However, the ways of the Lord are infinite."
