The agent of Udinese defender Mehdi Benatia has confirmed that there is interest from clubs in England, Spain and elsewhere in Italy for his client.

The 24-year old French-born Morocco international joined Udinese in February 2010 from French Ligue 2 outfit Clermont but could be soon on the move according to Claudio Vagheggi who also represents his teammate Kwadwo Asamoah.

"Benatia and Asamoah are important players so it is normal that several clubs, including Napoli, have looked at them," he told Radio CRC.

"Udinese, however, are currently reluctant to discuss transfers.

"On Benatia, there is also interest from some English and Spanish clubs.

"At this time there is no negotiation with Napoli for him, but it is possible that (Udinese owner, Giampaolo) Pozzo and (Napoli president, Aurelio) De Laurentiis are talking about him."
