The agent of David Trezeguet admits he was taken aback by the Juventus striker's announcement he will leave the club this season.

“He didn’t tell me of his desire to leave Juventus and Italy in May,” Antonio Caliendo told TuttoJuve.com. “But if he said it then it must be true…

“I don’t think he’ll return to Argentina, I expect he’ll go to France. We’ll have to see if there are any good offers for him.”

When asked whether Juventus could opt to sell him once the January transfer window opens, Caliendo was full of doubts.

“I don’t think so,” he answered. “He has an important contract. However, I only got the news from you so I need to speak to David and then we’ll see.”
