Agent strongly denies Cole leaving Roma for Palace berth

Ashley Cole's agent has rubbished reports that the defender will leave Roma in January for a move to Crystal Palace. The former England left-back signed a two-year deal with Roma in the summer but has not played for the Giallorossi since November 22.

However, David Mannaseh, managing director of Stellar Group, the agency that represents Cole, said he has no intention of leaving Roma.

"Ashley is loving life in Italy and in Rome. He has never been happier," he is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.

"Whoever has given this information out is a disgrace because all it does is give fans of a football club false hope.

"Ashley is concentrating on trying to win trophies in Italy and, in particular, Serie A this season. Nothing else."
