Everton have missed out on a deal for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo.

The Daily Mail says Negredo's agent yesterday claimed it would be "impossible" for a deal to be completed.

Everton were desperate to bring in a high-profile target to boost their push to qualify for the Champions League and there is little doubt that Negredo would've fit the bill.
