The agent of Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov has defended his deadline day behaviour.

The former Manchester United forward appeared on his way to Fiorentina last month, before Juventus came knocking.

"Juventus and Fiorentina were two options for Dimitar, but he chose England, Fulham: he decided on Martin Jol and that's okay," Emil Danchev told TuttoMercatoWeb.com.

"It's a choice that satisfies us fully."

On Fiorentina's air ticket complaints, Danchev added: "This is an irreverent question. Why should he pay for the plane? Because in Italy you care so much about such a thing?"
