The agent of VfL Wolfsburg defender Philipp Wollscheid admits he could return to Stoke City.

Wollscheid is on-loan at Wolfsburg from Stoke and has battled for minutes this season in Germany.

His agent, Guido Nickolay, told Fussball Transfers: "Philipp has there a contract until 2018, which we of course respect.

"And frankly, there are also worse things to do week after week in the Premier League."

However, he added: "He would like to stay in Germany."
