The agent of Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Marco van Ginkel says there's a long way to go before a move to Chelsea is sealed.Ajax offered €7 million for the 20 year-old.

"They were willing to go far for Marco," said agent Rob Jansen to Voetbal Primeur. "We have done everything to get the clubs to the table, but Vitesse did not answer. Then it became a difficult story."

Although Vitesse and Chelsea have agreed a fee of €8.5 million, Van Ginkel is not yet committed to the Londoners.

"That is all premature," emphasizes Jansen. "There is interest, that's right. But still it is a matter between Vitesse and Chelsea. For us it is at least not a foregone conclusion that Marco leaves for Chelsea."

"Chelsea is not the only club, there are more clubs from abroad who are interested. Whether they have approached Vitesse, I do not know," said Jansen. "Until the end of the European Championships, nothing will happen anyway."
