The agent of Oscar Cardozo has held talks with Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira about the striker's future.
With Southampton monitoring developments, Pedro Aldave reaffirmed expectations the Paraguay international will be leaving this summer.
"We'll see. If there is a good chance for Benfica or us it may materialize, but at the moment he has a contract with Benfica, the termination clause is the same," said Aldave.
"It will depend on how the president and the squad is made up in the next season."
