Agent says Ryan Nelsen all set to sign for Spurs
Ryan Nelsen's agent has confirmed the released Blackburn Rovers defender is set to join Tottenham.
Nelsen, 34, was out of contract at Blackburn at the end of the season and has only played once for Steve Kean's men this term.
"We're just awaiting clearance. It's for six months, with a one-year option. It all unfolded quickly."
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp had said on Tuesday night: "I think he's a great competitor and a good sort to have at your club. I have always liked him."Lyle Yorks, Nelsen's Washington-based representative from James Grant Sports, told the Washington Post: "We settled with Blackburn and have reached agreement with Spurs.

This is great news for Spurs, Ryan Nelsen and New Zealand football. OK, he's 34 and has recently had injury problems but throughout his career he's proved his class as a central defender.
He captained (and carried) the only unbeaten team at the last World Cup and has a lot to offer Spurs as we try and win the EPL this year and the Champions League next year. Well, you can dream can't you?
