The agent of Tottenham signing Benjamin Stambouli says he could've joined Fiorentina.
Stambouli signed for Spurs yesterday from Montpellier.
"It was Stambouli's decision not to sign with Fiorentina," David Martinez told TuttoMercatoWeb.
"The Premier League was simply Benjamin's first choice, and we received a concrete offer from England.
"Fiorentina lost too much time to close the deal with Montpellier. They wasted about two weeks, and it was a mistake [on their part]."
