The agent of Hamburg striker Jann–Fiete Arp has claimed that Chelsea are not close to signing his client.

A report published by The Mirror this month claimed that Chelsea has seen off interest from Arsenal and Manchester City and were close to striking a deal with Hamburg over a transfer for Fiete Arp.

However the player's agent Jurgen Milewski has insisted that there are no truth to the rumours linking his client with a move to Stamford Bridge.

When asked about the reports, he told German newspaper Bild: “This story has nothing in it."

Fiete Arp's impressive form has seen him progress from the Hamburg youth side to the first team.

Since breaking into the Hamburg first team, he has gone on to make five appearances and has scored two goals.
