Agent says Barcelona wanted AC Milan winger Robinho

The agent of Robinho says Barcelona were beaten by AC Milan for the former Manchester City winger's deal.

Mino Raiola claims that he was asked by the Brazilian to take Zlatan Ibrahimovic, another of his clients, to Manchester thus paving the way for a switch to Barcelona.

"I took Mario Balotelli to City and I bumped into Robinho," Raiola stated to Premium Calcio. "He told me that he wanted to leave the English club.

"He said that if I took Ibra to City then he knew for sure that Barcelona would then sign him. I told the player to stay calm.

"I then took Ibrahimovic to Milan before telling [Milan Vice-President Adriano] Galliani that we had to leave for England.

"We thus beat Barcelona and got Robinho. That is how both Ibrahimovic and Robinho transferred to Milan."
