Agent says Arshavin will stay with Arsenal beyond Russian market deadline

Andrey Arshavin is expected to stay with Arsenal beyond the Russian market.

Phil Smith, whose close to Arsenal, can't see Arshavin returning to Russia.

Asked about Anzhi's interest, Smith told Sovetsky Sport: "We had no official offers for Arshavin.

"The club said it wants to keep Andrey, he insisted he wants to remain here. So, in my view, it is out of question. I wouldn’t expect any news on this matter until the summer."
