Agent rules out Man City stay for New York City's Lampard

Frank Lampard's agent has ruled out a possible Manchester City loan extension for the veteran midfielder.

The 36-year old is on loan with the reigning English champions from MLS expansion franchise New York City FC until the end of December with some reports suggesting that the agreement could be protracted into the New Year.

However, Lampard's representative Steve Kutner told the New York Daily News that the suggested scenario was 'not even discussed'.

Some reports in the UK indicate that Chelsea great Lampard will stay with Man City until the end of the current Premier League season, which ends in May 2015, but it is more likely that he will finish up at the Etihad Stadium at the end of the year as initially agreed.

New York City enter MLS for the 2015 season with their inaugural campaign kicking off in March next year.
