Roberto de Assis rubbished claims Ronaldinho cried off from Saturday's victory over Sevilla and also thanked his brother's teammates for their tributes during their goal celebrations.

"He would never miss a game unless being injured," said Assis. "He has always tried to do the best thing for the team and the club.

"He's very grateful to the players who dedicated their goals to him. It was a great display of comradeship and friendship."
