The agent of Genoa defender Mimmo Criscito admits Zenit St Petersburg have failed with a bid for him.

Zenit tried to sign the player at the start of this year, the player's agent has revealed.

"Zenit made an offer during the January transfer window," Andrea D'Amico told TMW. "They asked for him on loan."

The left-back is a wanted man and has been linked with numerous sides since Genoa took full ownership of his rights last summer.

"There is nothing new to report on his future," D'Amico continued. "Zenit could come back with an offer, but Genoa want more than €15m for him."
