The agent of FC Twente fullback Roberto Rosales has confirmed the interest of Newcastle United.

The Venezuela international was watched by Toon during the season.

Claudio Barrios revealed: "There is interest from two German and two Spanish clubs. FC Porto, Newcastle United and two other clubs are also following Roberto closely.

"The market will be open for a long time, but I remind everyone here that far more transfers may be completed in August."
