The agent of Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi has revealed the interest of Napoli.

Andrea Pastorello says a summer move to Naples could be on for the former Manchester United trainee.

"The Partenopei have been interested in Giuseppe for a while now," claimed Pastorello. "President Aurelio De Laurentiis has a soft spot for my client. He contacted me a year ago to enquire.

"He wanted to know how things were going between Giuseppe and Villarreal.

"We only had a chat about it because the time wasn't right.

"It is clear that in the summer something is going to happen though and my client is ready for it."
