The agent of Real Madrid legend Raul has revealed he came close to signing for Manchester United.
Raul's agent Gines Carvajal has revealed how the Spaniard came close to joining United when leaving Real Madrid.
Confirming speculation at the time, Carvajal said on Radio Marca that Schalke's Felix Magath had to fight off competition from the Reds and only succeeded because the veteran striker was not assured of a regular place.
The 36-year-old is currently with Al Sadd.
