The agent of Standard Liege midfielder Steven Defour admits Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is a big fan of the Belgian.
Defour has been mooted as a replacement at United for the retired Paul Scholes.
Paul Stefani told Calciomercatoweb.it: "Manchester United? Ferguson admires him very much and when the player was injured he sent a letter to him as encouragement.
"His brother (Martin Ferguson) came to see him twice after he recovered from injury.
"A preference?
"Who would not like to play for a club like United, but Juventus and AC Milan are also great teams. He has no preference."
