The adviser to Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini admits they were interested in beating Barcelona for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
Cesc was rumoured to be on City's agenda before the Gunners agreed to sell the midfielder to Barca.
Giorgio de Giorgis, who was also once Mancini's agent, revealed: "Mancini did consider many very strong players (last summer).
"(Samir) Nasri was the first choice after Fabregas, Aguero was one of the three forwards chosen by the British along with (Samuel) Eto'o and a few more.
"They would have tried for Eto'o if Tevez had left."
