Italian super agent Enzo Bronzetti has revealed how both Newcastle United and Manchester City outbid Roma for former Barcelona winger Ludovic Giuly.

Giuly signed a three-year deal last night after Barca accepted a £2.5 million bid from Roma, however Bronzetti revealed: "Newcastle and Manchester City were offering £5 million for the player, Ludovic Giuly, but he didn't want to go to either team and had his heart set on Roma."
