Manchester City have made an offer for Bologna midfielder Gaston Ramirez.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has enjoyed an impressive debut season in Serie A and has drawn interest from a host of top European suitors.
But Bologna are keen to keep hold of him and have slapped a £17.5million asking price on the player and have already rejected an 'official bid' from the oil-rich Barclays Premier League club, according to the player's representative, Vincenzo D'Ippolito.
"It's a concrete offer from Manchester City for him," D'Ippolito told Sky Sport Italia.
"I don't know what amount but Bologna, for now, said no.
"These are the first signs, we'll see what happens. Bologna want at least 20million (£17.5m) for him."
