Liverpool are interested in Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Argentina international was linked with Liverpool in the British press last week and South American agent Jose Alberti has revealed the Reds made a serious attempt for the attacker in the summer.
He told TMW: "Napoli must be careful not to lose players like Lavezzi and Cavani.
"Lavezzi had been sought by Liverpool last summer, but then they failed to make a serious offer."
