Inter Milan are on the brink of signing Penarol winger Matias Aguirregaray.

Confirming the news last night was the Uruguayan's Italian agent, Antonio Caliendo.

"Aguirregaray to Inter? And it's yet another blow by (Inter director) Marco Branca who has won an exceptional player in all respects.

"It's just missing some details to be resolved, it is almost done. There was a delay because of the presentation of (Inter coach Rafa) Benitez."
