Agent reveals how Man Utd 'overpaid' for Pogba

Agent Dario Canovi doesn't believe Paul Pogba is worth the price Manchester United paid for him.

Including bonuses, United paid Juventus €110 million to Juventus for Pogba.

But Canovi told TMW: "The price is set by the market itself, at a specific time. That is, taking into account the context and motivation of the buyer. It is, with a few exceptions, the latter who 'makes' the price.

"The club that sells realizes the level of interest of the buyer, his way of manifesting it. The more explicit, the more mediated, the higher the price will go. One has only to see what happened with Paul Pogba.

"I am not sure, despite his great talent, that a player is worth 110 million euros, including bonuses. Only MU and his coach had a great need to make a 'coup' in the transfer market and Pogba was the right one.

"It was inevitable that the price would go up!"
